
Tenders are invited for the below contract which will run for 3 years, with an option to extend for a further 3 years subject to the Parish Council being satisfied with performance.
The cleaner will be self-employed and responsible for their own PAYE and National Insurance if appropriate.
The hours are approx. 1 hour per day to clean the toilets as per the attached schedule. Additional cleaning may be required during heavy holiday periods. Ie July and August and will be paid at the agreed hourly rate in addition to the normal day rate.
The toilets are open 365 days a year.
The council will consider a “job share” tender.
Tenders must include proposed hourly rate.
Payment will be monthly with the submission of an invoice at the end of the month. Currently payment is by cheque on or around the 8th of each month.
The Council will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), toilet rolls, paper towels, soap and hand sanitizers for dispensers, also mops, mop heads and buckets, plus all cleaning materials required.
The successful tenderer will be granted permission to order all supplies required from the Council’s approved supplier, without seeking prior permission.
Inspections will be carried out on an ad hoc basis by Councillors to ensure that cleaning is being undertaken.

The decision on the tender will be taken at the Parish Council meeting on 4 November 2026 and the successful tender will be informed by 12 November 2026 with a start date of 1 December 2026.
