Report a Problem with a Street or Road

Cumberland Council’s MyAccount portal allows you to report highways issues, track progress and reopen cases all in one place.

To access the Highways reporting portal, visit the Report a Problem page and click on the green Report a Problem button.

You will then be able to log in to your existing account or register for a new account by clicking the Login/Register button.

What can you do through MyAccount?

  • Report a new highways problem or raise a highways enquiry
  • Track the progress of reports you have submitted
  • Ask a question or make a comment on an active case
  • Request that a closed case is reopened
  • View all emails relating to a case
  • Update your personal contact details

How to raise a highways enquiry or problem

Once logged in, click the link titled Highways Enquiry in the New Service Request section on the My Portal page. The link will take you directly to the highways online reporting form. Reporting this way means the information will be saved under your account and you can track its progress.

Tracking your reports

The My Requests page displays all highways reports you have submitted, along with their current status. You can search for a specific report using its EI reference number. Click the blue View icon to go through to the Track my Progress page. If you have any incomplete forms, click the orange Update icon to return to where you left off.

Asking a question or making a comment

To contact Cumberland Highways about an active case, select the relevant case from the My Requests page, then click the Ask a question or make a comment button under Case actions. Add your text and any supporting documents, then click Save. The Highways Engagement Team will be notified of the information you have added.

Requesting a case is reopened

If a case has been closed but you believe it should be reconsidered, you can request that it is reopened. From the My Requests page, click on the completed case and then click Request your case is reopened. Explain why you believe the case should be reopened, attach any supporting documents if needed, and click Save. Your request will be returned to the Highways Service for re-assessment.
