31/24 Police Liaison Report
Circulated. There have been reports of cars speeding through Silecroft village and along the A595. Details to be forwarded to PS McDonald.
Clerk to seek further update on proposed 30mph speed limit to beach.

37/24 Village Matters

37/24.1 Silecroft beach car park, and toilets
Clerk to pursue contractors for quotations to undertake repairs to Silecroft beach car park.
Clerk reported that a request has been made to remove the electric meter from the single phase supply. An invoice has been received from the electric supplier which is being disputed.
Clerk to contact re drawing up plans for Silecroft beach car park improvements.

37/24.2 Toilets
Quotation received to make modifications to ladies toilet door – resolved to accept it.
A relief cleaner for toilets has been sourced.

37/24.3 Play inspection report and proposed new equipment
Resolved to accept quotation from Playdale for additional equipment. Clerk to apply to different funding streams.

37/24.4 Environmental issues
Cllr Millar reported that she had produced a piece for the website re heat pumps.
Beach – seeds and plant plugs have been planted. It was approved for Cllr Millar to purchase additional seeds for the filtration bed
Waiting for a contractor to remove grass sward at Silecroft road end to plant wildflowers.

37/24.5 GDF

37/24.6 D Day celebrations 6 June 2024
Gas bottle to be supplied by caravan park. Lighting at 9.15pm. Cllr Fell to organize transport of equipment on to Sea Ness

To discuss any correspondence received for open discussion:
All other correspondence to be circulated in the normal manner for Council’s perusal
• Letter received from a member of public re new café
• Letter received from Silecroft Village Hall requesting a lease document

40/24 Councillor Matters
An opportunity for Councillors to raise minor matters, not on this agenda, on behalf of residents
(Note. No discussion or decisions can be made on these matters but the Clerk may make investigations and/or they may be placed on a future agenda of the Council
• Cllr Tyson reported increased amount of dog muck around caravan site. Clerk to contact dog warden and caravan site owner. Cllr Millar to put a message up on Facebook reminding dog owners to pick up after their dogs.
• Road Closure – Clerk to contact Cllr Pratt for confirmation
• Cllr Wilson gave her apologies for the next meeting

41/24 DATE OF NEXT MEETING:
The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on 3 July 2024 at Silecroft Village Hall commencing at 7.30p

42/24 Closed Session
Draft sub-lease approved in principle. Clerk to contact Cumberland Council re outside toilets and other matters.
