5/24 APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO SERVE ON OUTSIDE BODIES – To appoint members of the Council to serve on the following outside bodies:
6/24 To resolve that the Parish Council meets the conditions under section 8(2) of the Localism Act 2011 and The Parish Councils (General Power of Competence) (Prescribed Conditions) Order 2012 and therefore may act under the General Power of Competence
Proposed by Cllr Cumming and seconded by Cllr Lowery that the Parish Council fulfilled all criteria and wished to invoke the General Power of Competence.

14/24 Report from Unitary Authority Councillor
Cllr Pratt reported that a meeting had been held with Highways regarding the road closures along the A595 and it was agreed that there would be a convoy system in place between 7pm and 10pm with full closure after 10pm. Works at Wabberthwaite start on 5 May and works at the John Bull in June.
Corney Fell – no tenders were received to replace the bridge and retendering has commenced it is now likely the road will remain closed until 2025.

17/23 Village Matters
17/23.1 Silecroft beach car park, and toilets
Clerk to pursue Drone photos for planning application. Cllr Millar has produced a planting plan for the area behind the car park.
Clerk to contact contractors for quotes to repair the car park. Contractors to contact Cllr Fell.
17/24.2 Toilets
Gents door still sticking. Rain water blows under ladies toilet door. Toilet in ladies needs refixing to floor. Clerk to contact builder to undertake repairs.
Outside tap requires bigger box – Cllr Fell to organise.
17/24.3 Play inspection report and proposed new equipment
Cllr Sharp has fitted the new cradle swing seats. Another one needs ordering for Silecroft.
The gate at Kirksanton needs repairing.
Meeting with Proludic 8 May for a quote.
17/24.4 Environmental issues
Cllr Millar reported that she has purchased seeds for planting at the beach car park and also a wildflower bed at the entrance to the village.
17/24.5 GDF
Cllr Cumming reported that at the last South Copeland Partnership Meeting a representative from the GDF process in Canada attended .Cllr Pratt reported that permissions to drill were being submitted – the consultation process would be 3-5 years before drilling would take place.

26/24 Closed Session
The council were given an update on the meeting with Cumberland Council re the terms of the café lease. Changes were required to the proposed lease. Clerk to respond to Cumberland Council re changes. A Statement of Intent still not received.
