61/15: Maureen Goodrick, representing Silecroft Golf Club, gave a short presentation regarding the proposed changes to the Golf Club House, including installing disabled access upgrading the changing rooms and extending the garage to create a meeting room. The Club had applied to Sport England for funding and were seeking support from the Parish Council.
It was agreed to send a letter of support to the Club.

62/15 PCSO Booth reported that there were no major concerns. There had been an increase of incidents around the prison. Burglaries and thefts were down on last year. There had been 2 major Road Traffic incidents. The police were to undertake drink drive campaign over the Christmas period.

It was resolved that the minutes of the parish council meeting held on 4th November 2015 be signed as a true and correct record.

It was agreed to invite Copeland Landscape Service to continue to undertake grass cutting services for 2016 at a cost of £489.72
3 alternative budgets were presented to the council for consideration and an estimated impact on council tax bills.
It was agreed to ask for an additional £13500 on top of the precept as a one off charge to enable the council to replace the play equipment at Silecroft and Kirksanton. Precept £19500

3) Play areas at Silecroft and Kirksanton
3.1 Update re purchase of new equipment
a) A grant application had been submitted to Tesco. It will be mid January before it is known it is successful or not.
b) Quotes had been received from Playdale & Playquest for Kirksanton
Playquest £12511 +vat
Playdale £25000 + vat
Silecroft would be approx £10000 + vat
Cllr Bradley to obtain quote for Silecroft play area
c) It was agreed not to purchase goal posts for Silecroft ( qoted at £1800) and to use the money instead for the play equipment.
d) The climbing net was on order for Kirksanton
3.2 Paddock fencing Kirksanton
A quote of £880 had been received to repair the existing fence and extend. It was agreed to go ahead with this.
4) Silecroft Beach benches
Cllr Fell had inspected the benches. 3 were in serious need of repair and it was agreed to replace these. A basic bench is approx £300 Cllr Lowery to obtain quotes to replace with recycled plastic benches.
3 other benches will need replacing in the future.
5) Costal Economic Plan
This was discussed, especially around the proposed cycle path. Further details required as to the route of this.
Kirksanton Village Hall are proposing to put in a new septic tank as part of the refurbishment works. The soakaway will extend onto the village green.
