DRAFT MINUTES OF THE EXTRA ORDINARY MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON WEDNESDAY 17 SEPTEMBER 2026 AT SILECROFT VILLAGE HALL COMMENCING AT 7.30 PM

71/26 Apologies for Absence: None

Press and Public were excluded from this meeting as it was a closed session

73/26 Declarations of Interest

None

74/26 Closed Session

74/26.1 To approve the changes to the cleaning contract and tender document

Resolved that the cleaning contract be modified and put out to tender.  Responses to Clerk by 23 October 2026.  Decision at November meeting with a start date of 1 December 2026

74/26.2 Changes to Clerk’s contract

Resolved Clerk’s hours to be increased to 24 hours per month from 1 October 2026.

Resolved Clerk to be paid for 42.95 additional hours worked to 31 August 2026

74/26.3 Proposed New Café Lease

Proposed changes to be made to draft lease

Resolved A fixed fee to be paid annually index linked

Resolved location of proposed bin store to be in septic tank compound or directly adjacent to it

Resolved termination of lease – all buildings and structures must be removed.

Concerns expressed re availability of Changing Places facility and lack of progress by Cumberland Council in undertaking outstanding repairs/modifications.

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 2047 hours.

The next meeting of the Parish Council is on Wednesday 7 October 2026 commencing at 7.30pm at Silecroft Village Hall.
