97/23 Village Matters
97/23.1 Silecroft beach car park, and toilets
Silecroft beach car park and toilets – Clerk to chase up quote for toilet door, Clerk to contact Alison Craghill re getting prisoners to fill in pot holes on the beach car park.
97/23.2 Silecroft beach proposed new café
Silecroft beach proposed new café – All agreed to sign new contract. Cllr Cumming reported there has been no meeting with Cumberland yet. She had spoken to Cllr Andy Pratt who said the window manufacturer has gone out of business so there is now a delay in finding a new manufacturer, they have now found one but no confirmation on when they can do them. Cumberland are still sorting out the legal side. The council commented on why the roof is taking so long. Cllr Sharp reported the contractor has still got to sort the electrics he will chase him up.

97/23.4 Wildflower planting – Silecroft
Cllr Millar reported the soil maybe too rich and we may need to take a few layers off. She suggested getting plug wild flowers and look at planting in the spring.
97/23.5 GDF
Cllr Cumming gave a report. Their last meeting was a re-cap on the public forums, the outcome to be made available on GDF website. Funding still approx £200,000 not applied for. They are looking at improving the application process for under £10k to encourage more to apply. Cllr Jopson to look at Playdale for more items for the parks possibly look at applying to GDF fund.
97/23.6 Zero Carbon actions
Cllr Millar reported she is still sorting something to go on the website. Woodland trust are giving 420 free trees. Shel is looking into if these could be planted more as a hedge and where they could be planted.

Cllr Tyson reported she has spoken to the member of the public who is undertaking the refurbishment. He is getting on with it, replaced wood and painting should be done in a few weeks

Cumberland Council Community meeting – Cllr Cumming attended. Discussed new Cumberland Council structure, looking at 4 themes Transport, Health & Wellbeing, they are wanting local councils views on what more can be done in the area. Jonathan Powell – MWPC is looking at active travel in our area, better cycle routes, he wants a rep from WPC to join the group Cllr Sharp has agreed.
